fledgling eagletsThe baby eaglets in the Codorus park cameras are really getting big. They are getting their real feathers in now, not just baby down. That seems to make them even bigger. Keep checking to see how they are doing.

Baby eaglets I've been checking in on the baby eagles in the Codorus park live nest cam. They've grown out of the floppy ugly stage and are fluffy and cute. I was watching one morning and got lots of action.

Local Bald Eagle eggs hatch!

Bald eagle feeding nestlingThey hatched.  Our bald eagle nest in Codorus state park has 2 eggs in it, laid March 10 & 13th.  They both hatched yesterday, and the day before.  So congrats on 2 live young this year.  Read more.

Bald Eagle Cam in Hanover, PA

bald eagleWe are excited once again to be watching the bald eagle nest in Codorus State Park, just east of Hanover, PA.  This year they have 2 camera views on the nest.  The adult eagles returned to the nest just after Christmas.  2 eggs were laid in it this week.  The cameras provide excellent live stream viewing.

Warning for little dogs and hungry raptors

bald eagle  I noticed a large, gliding bird overhead.  Thinking quickly, it clicked: Raptor.  Big.  Hunting.  Hunting what?  It wasn't targeting me or my dog, but toward the neighbor.  They had just gotten a new, very small puppy.
